遠(yuǎn)水不解近渴　

◎ 遠(yuǎn)水不解近渴 yuǎn shuǐ bù jiě jìn kě

(1) [distant water cannot quench present thirst]∶遠(yuǎn)距離的水不能止現(xiàn)在的渴

(2) [the aid is too slow in coming to be of any help]∶比喻緩慢的解決辦法不能滿足急迫的需要,幫助太慢達(dá)不到任何幫助的目的

這也容易,只是“遠(yuǎn)水解不得近渴”。——《紅樓夢》
